she's always with you
My mother passed away when I was 11 years old. With that came many challenges and changes to my life but also with that came the phrase "she's always with you." I don't think I will ever be able to count the number of times family, friends, and strangers would say that to me. At first it really bothered me. How could they know if she was with me? That's just one of those things you say to make people feel better. But throughout college as I was finding out who I was and becoming a woman, I started searching for her more in my life. I found her in the light and shadows of my everyday moments. Here are some of those images I captured.
